Owner
Owner Sharon Riegel has taken “the road less traveled” at an age when most sensible people are retiring. Giving up a comfortable, traditional job with the Environmental Protection Agency in Denver, she pursued her dreams of living on a farm and becoming an artist and furniture builder. She builds finely finished, rustic “art furniture”in her shop on the premises. View her extensive portfolio and see her furniture in the cabin. She leads a local women’s outdoor recreation club and can recommend “where to do” almost any kind of activity.
Outdoor enthusiasts run in this Rocky Mountain family. Sharon’s husband is a practicing geologist and avid fisherman, and her son Craig is an award-wining nature writer and naturalist who lives nearby.
Sharon now concentrates on building furniture and outdoor endeavors with an emphasis on people, i.e., Girl Scout Leader, Mentor for a young girl, and organizing Crawford’s summer and winter parades. She was awarded Crawford’s Volunteer of the Year award in 2005.
Sharon will do whatever necessary to assure that you have a memorable visit at her perfect vacation rental by owner - the Juniper Tree Guest house in scenic Western Colorado!
